Optional Equipment
High Production
This option allows the production of up to 60 cubic yards per hour of a typical 5 bag mix as per VMMB Standards. Included in this option is our 9’ x 12” diameter mix auger, Material Feed Flow Control Valve, and a 12-volt Digital Tachometer for accurate control of the desired production rate.
Admixture Systems
Allows the use of liquid admixtures such as Air Entraining Agents, Water Reducers, Super Plasticizers, Accelerators, and Set Retarders. A holding tank is loaded with the liquid, and charged with air pressure from the Mixer Unit. Each tank has an inline Filter, and an electrically triggered valve. This is integrated with the Material Feed Valve to allow the flow of material to stop and start with the other mix ingredients. Flow Meters are sized to meet the delivery requirements of the product being used, with ranges from 1 ounce to 3.5 gallons per minute. Each Flow Meter is certified to meet the tolerance requirements of ASTM, +/- 3%. There are no pumps to flush or maintain, and the air pressure can be used to evacuate the lines for easy draining and cleaning of the system.
High Flow Admix Tank
For use with admixtures requiring higher dosages, a 42 Gallon Galvanized Tank is used (with a Stainless-Steel Tank Optional) and a Flow Meter sized to meet the desired delivery rate.
Low Flow Admix Tank
For use with admixtures requiring lower dosages, a 20 Gallon Galvanized Tank is used (with a Stainless-Steel Tank Optional) and a Flow Meter sized to meet the desired delivery rate.
Power Telescopic Chute
This Chute System allows the Operator to hydraulically change the angle of delivery as well as the length of the chute from 5 to 11 feet in any increment required. It is especially useful in flat work applications, as a large area can be placed without moving the mixer, and without the need of additional personnel. As with the Manual Telescopic Chutes, it is attached to the Auger and takes up no space when not in use.
Swivel Chute
This Chute System allows concrete to be placed in areas not reachable by fixed chutes. As with the other ZI Chute Systems, it is attached to the Auger and takes up no additional space on the unit when not in use, and requires no additional personnel. A ring is used at the top of the chute, and allows rotation in a 270-degree arc. This enables the concrete to be placed alongside the mixer, and is especially useful in curbing or trenching applications. The Chute angle is adjustable, and it is in a 2-piece configuration that can extend to either 5 feet or 10 feet from the end of the Auger.
Pump Chute
This Chute is designed to aid in the placing of material into a concrete pump, wheelbarrow, or buggy. The lightweight 18-inch-long chute quickly attaches to the discharge end of the mix auger, and minimizes any spills as well as simplifying wash out.
Spot Light & Strobe Light Package
Provides light for nighttime operation. The LED lights illuminate the operator's control panel area, the aggregate bin material discharge area, and the work area. Strobe lights add an additional safety for your operators and crew.
Mechanical Ticket Printer
Resettable mechanical counter with a non-resettable totalizer. The totalizer is useful for scheduling periodic maintenance. This ticket printer provides an immediate record of the concrete delivered.
Mechanical Meter
Resettable mechanical counter with a non-resettable totalizer. The totalizer is useful for scheduling periodic maintenance.
Digital Ticket Printing System
With our Digital Metering System, there is no longer a need to convert a count number, with many variations for mix designs, into cubic yards. Our units are able to show the operator, as well as the customer, an actual reading of cubic yards produced at any given moment. The LCD panel at the operator's station shows the cubic yards produced on a continual basis.
Back Up Camera
The back-up camera system provides visual awareness of what is behind the Zim-Mixer. The display is mounted in the cab with a rear mounted camera that covers all auger placement angles. Is required in all roll and pour applications. Multiple cameras are available.
Bin Liner
An acrylic-reinforced aliphatic aromatic polyurethane coating applied to the inside of the aggregate bins and on top of the decks to prevent abrasion, corrosion and permit smooth flow of aggregates inside the bin.
Electric Recoil Tarp
In cab switch provides easy operation to cover & uncover the aggregate bin. Most states require bin to be covered when loaded.
Fiber Dispenser
The feeder is powered by a variable speed hydraulic motor, so the amount of fiber can be adjusted to meet various specifications. The fibers are stretched and fluffed through the use of rotating fingers and a high-volume air flow system insures a consistent material flow to the mix auger. The Fiber Dispenser uses 1/2" to 1 1/4" (12.7mm to 31.75mm) polypropylene mono-filament.
Features and benefits include: Automatically feeds fiber, fluffs and stretches fibers, buy fiber in bulk, not bags, eliminate manual feeding, increased accuracy.
Powder Dispenser
The Powder Dispenser has the ability to be used for color, water proofing or other powder(ed) admixtures. The powder consistently dispenses powder into the fine aggregate to produce a homogenous blend. It has a 2.8 cu. ft. capacity powder hopper which includes an agitator, vibrator, tachometer and variable speed hydraulic control valve to precisely feed your powder accurately.
Color Dispenser
Our Liquid Color System can be used with various manufacturers' liquid color products and is designed to allow changes of color in minutes. The variable speed peristaltic pump not only compensates to allow the changes of color needed (based on manufacturer's specifications), but also provides the availability to produce shades of each color. May also be used to dispense other high dosage rate liquid admixtures.
Aggregate Bin Screen
Prevents possible damage of equipment by screening materials through a 2-1/2"" x 2-1/2"" (63.5mm x 63.5mm) opening. All units sold outside the United States will be equipped with bin screens.
Water Tank Deck Fill
Provides deck level fill port for the water tank. Prevents operator from having to climb on top of unit to fill water tank. Uses 1-1/2 inch (38.1mm) coupling.
Hydraulic Fan Cooler
This option can be added when high ambient temperatures are common. The radiator will help keep the hydraulic oil cool, extending the life of critical hydraulic components. Also added when unit will be used for continuous pouring.
Stainless Steel Bin
This option includes the cement bin, aggregate bin, and mixer main frame being manufactured of grade 304 stainless steel. It provides the owner confidence that corrosion will not deteriorate the mixer regardless of environmental conditions.
Flowable Fill
This option is used to service contractors, municipalities and utilities requiring the use of a high quality/low cost back fill material. The most common uses are for "Flowable Fill" and "controlled low strength material" mixes. Provided in this option is an infinitely controlled hydraulic variable speed cement motor, and two independently controlled stone bin vibrators.
Pozzolan Bin
Provides storage and metering of pozzolanic materials (i.e. flash, slag, etc.) to be introduced into the concrete mix. It includes hydraulic variable speed with a tachometer so that the pozzolan may be added quickly at any addition rate desired. It may be run independently from other materials and is available in various sizes to compliment cement production capabilities.
Roll & Pour
This option provides the capability to produce concrete while the unit is moving. Used for sidewalks, filling ditches, and curb applications. There are several different models of this option available depending on customer and chassis specifications. The systems hydraulic power may come from a standard or automatic transmission PTO, Repto (rear engine PTO) or from a pony engine. Operator switches will be mounted in the cab for driver operation or may be tether/radio remote controlled for operation outside the cab.
Variable Speed Cement
This option provides the ability to hydraulically control the cement feed with an infinite number of possibilities. This is most commonly used for companies with mix designs which require atypical cement/pozzolan addition rates.
