Geotechnical Soil Stabilization

A Virginia based owner has used their Zim-Mixer on several projects across the U.S. when the soil requires stabilization (steadying) prior to building projects being started. This unit is a stationary mixer with an electric motor providing the primary power supply. Two silos are erected, one silo with cement and the second with a pozzolan. These silos are then integrated with the Zim-Mixer to ensure that the bins are kept occupied with materials and able to run continuously. The mixer meters the materials consistently and accurately into the mixing auger and delivers the grout into a pump for delivery into the placement areas. Since there is no way of knowing the exact amount of grout needed to fill the voids in the soil, the Zim-Mixer produces the precise amount needed, with no waste. All equipment needed for soil stabilization is portable and can be easily moved from job site to job site as needed.
